october already?!

via.
I couldn't think of a better way to start of the month of October than with a rainy Monday. It is so yucky and dreary outside, but that means that we get to be that much cozier inside, and we know what that means! Books, blankets, sweaters, and slippers! Woot woot! There are a ton of things that I am planning on doing this fall with and without mi familia.
  • start and finish a book
  • have candles burning day in and day out
  • make sure the house always smells good
  • take a hike [which shouldn't be hard, given we literally live a half mile from a state park, but you'd be surprised...]
  • take the boys on at least one train ride here
  • pick pumpkins and go on a hay ride
  • decorate said pumpkins
  • go to at least one Auburn home game
  • make the house feel as warm and cozy as possible
  • watch hocus pocus
  • make caramel apples and s'mores
  • bake a peach cobbler and an apple pie
  • make something in the crock pot at least once a week
  • take lots of pictures of my bundled up babies
  • go to a corn maze!
  • take the boys trick-or-treating
  • find a pile of leaves for Casen to play in
  • take it all in.
I'm the kind of person that will forget to do things until it's too late-- no matter how badly I want to do them-- unless I have them written down or in a list of some sort. So I will be referring back to this list often over these next few months. I may have to print it out, frame it and hang it on my ceiling so I see it when I wake up every morning if that's what it takes. Yep. That's what I'll do.

  1. I do the same thing. Make epic fall plans and then...whoa, it's spring? Weird. Not this year. This year I am eating pumpkin and baking. Something. Even if it's those premade halloween cookies next to the cinnamon rolls.
