Big Brother Casen

This child has completely and utterly consumed my heart since the day he was born. He is my little Momma's boy, and he is such a sweetheart (when he wants to be). He is super intelligent, and so much fun. Although he does wear me out alllll day long. I do NOT know where he gets his energy because I sure don't have any! All things considered, he is such a good boy and we have been so lucky to be his parents these last 2.3 years. It's still hard for me to comprehend that we are adding a new little one to the mix any day now, and I hope to God I will be able to give my love to them both as much as they both need it. But until then, it's just me and my one boy, so I am going to go "ah-side" and we are going to "play 'asketball tooogeddder" as he is currently standing by my side begging me. I am going to miss this.

the 4th

I'm pretty sure that the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. Every year -- life permitting -- we visit my grandparents beach house in Seagrove, FL. This was Casen's third 4th down there and he had so much fun. Although, he didn't cooperate very well when it came to getting his picture taken. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. As tradition has it, we all go to the parade on 30A that starts in and ends down in Seaside, the morning of. The remainder of the day is spent relaxing at the house and on the beach. Then at night it's firework time. If you've never seen fireworks on the beach, you are missing out. We could see about 20 shows at once all along the coast. It was a really great time.
