This kid is pretty freakin' funny.

Like hilarious.

TTFN Facebook!!

Some of you may know that March 1-March 2 from sundown to sundown is National Day of Unplugging. It is a period of 24 hours to disconnect from the chaos of the digital world and take some time to do what you love without your nose buried in your iPhone or laptop.

I have found myself lost in la la land checking my Facebook or Instagram sometimes when I could be spending beautiful quality time with my baby boys. I had gotten into a habit of having my eyes glued to my phone every time I would lay down to nurse Anders. I realized a while ago that 1) it is not fair to him that he is not getting my undivided attention and 2) that I need to soak in this short time that I will get to spend with him while he is nursing since it obviously doesn't last forever. In addition to my phone, I have found myself just blankly staring at my news feed on Facebook not even really doing anything but wasting time. Do I really need to know that you didn't like the pickles on your sandwich for lunch, or that you weren't able to sleep last night? And do you really care if I did? Anyway, I signed the pledge to unplug  a month or so ago and intended to take tomorrow off from any screens, but this morning I found myself drowning in the mediocrity of Facebook and decided that I am going to take a much longer break than 24 hours. I need it for my head, I need it for my sanity, I need it because the laundry is not going to do itself, I need it so that I can tackle the stack of books next to my bed. I know that I intentionally got sucked into in the past to remove myself from the day's hectic activity, but know now that their are much better ways to accomplish this. (Plus I really need to focus more on this blog so that I don't forget all of the sweet little things that the boys do, since my memory ran away with my toned stomach after the birth of my baby number 2.)

So, long story short, you will be seeing much less of me on Facebook and much more of me on here.

Also, feel free to sign the pledge to unplug tomorrow!
